As the smallest, in terms of surface area, of Germany’s administrative districts, the district’s merits are not only its short distances; because of good travel connections from other areas of the region it is within quick reach – not only for recreational guests but also for business travellers. It takes 15 minutes from the business and finance centre Frankfurt and from Wiesbaden town centre, also 15 minutes from the ICE-trains main-line station and to Frankfurt’s international airport (FRA). Hotels, private guest-houses and camping sites provide diverse accommodation.
